EXCELLENT straws. biodegradable, not paper, doesn't melt in your mouth before you can finish your drink, and strong. no notes.

Good food! Great fries! Good service and atmosphere. Plenty of screens to watch your favorite sports event!

I've liked this place since it first opened. It would be great if they had a little more focus on SF/Bay Area teams on the TV's. Food is always good and drinks are on point Sometimes the crowd can be obnoxious. Rarely do you get an 'excuse me' or sorry for bumping into you and spilling some of your drink. Still can be fun.

The stars are for the establishment, not the sandwich: For starters, I love this place. Best bar food in SF. BUT I must do my duty and grade their chicken sandwich. I would definitely finish it but I wouldn't recommend it to a fellow connoisseur. Strap in. Overall: 6/10 Chicken is a hammered breast, should be a thigh if you're a purist. WHICH I AM. Breading is nothing to write home about but the chicken is well cooked. Someone back there can handle a fryer. Bun was a little dry, didn't fall apart but felt like it was plucked from a bag from Costco (no knock on the Signature brand). Slaw was non descript, nothing to report on. Middle of the road. Spice was honestly non existent, felt like a PE bro who summers in Nantucket was in charge of adding it to the breading. Just left a lot to be desired. NO PICKLES on it. Big problem for me.

The food was amazing; surprisingly. Well seasoned and nice portions. I had the chicken protein bowl. Amazing!!! The service was amazing. You have to order everything at the bar but they bring your food and drinks to your table. The ambiance was nice. Lots of T.Vs around the bar. Very nice and friendly

Came here the Monday after pride. There was a power glitch so it was a little awkward there for lunch. We did get some food and drinks and they were great. Bartender was extremely nice and had a great attitude. We got the Haterqde drink which I really liked. Would recommend when in the area

It's a Sports Bar...but seriously that is not the reason I make at least 1 visit a week. Yes, the food is great. Love the chicken sandwiches (grilled & fried), nachos are the bomb, albacore and beef burgers are delicious! It's the kale salad that really got me! The staff are super friendly and attentive. Such a great vibe! A Castro Gem!

Funny thing was that I passed by this loudish bar many times but didn't think I was focused enough on pro sports to enjoy it. But then Jamie W. and I went barhopping down in WeHo late last year and ended up at Hi Tops (review: https://yelp.to/anE3FfQ-xZ). We rather liked it because it was more spacious than the surrounding gay bars, and the sports vibe wasn't all that overwhelming. Back in the Castro, I steeled myself to enter the bar on a Thursday evening. It was crazy-busy with socializers in the front and the more dedicated sports fans in the back at tables facing the multiple TV screens (photo: https://yelp.to/EEkU91J_y-). I managed to wedge myself at the bar in front of the busy bartenders scanning the craft cocktail choices like Berry Zito, Mad Bum, and Purdy in Pink. I boldly asked for an Espresso Martini, and for $13, the bartender made a fine one with the requisite coffee beans sprinkled on top (photo: https://yelp.to/jt9pADpuj9). I was quite pleased and sat at the only vacant seat along the wall. I was amazed I was asked by two different people what my cocktail was. One was titillated I could get an espresso martini here, the other was appalled. Ah, the Castro. COCKTAILS - 4 stars...a fine espresso martini AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...crowded and it's all about the sports SERVICE - 4 stars...the bartender was responsive to my special order TOTAL - 4 stars...Hi Tops can work for me RELATED - Exploring the Castro? Great spot with surprisingly delicious food. The pretzel is excellent, and I love that they serve it with a nice spicy house made mustard. I've been twice and gotten the slushy both times, which have been delish. My girlfriend likes the corn dog, although it could use a thicker batter. Recently I tried the Bacon Beef burger (aioli, onion jam, wild arugula, gruyere) which was scrumptious. Cooked to perfection with the right amount of sauce and toppings (two nice slices of bacon that were perfectly cooked). Pretty decent prices for the serving sizes (burger comes with fries and a pickle). The staff are friendly and there's lots of seating both inside and outside.

This was the first stop on our night of bar hopping. Little did we know Thursdays were Gym themed so the place was popping with people in tank tops and shorts. It's clearly a popular place because all the tables inside were taken and there was very little room to walk through the room. We managed to find a booth outside for Al fresco dining. We ordered some drinks and buffalo wings with half order of nachos. I had the Boom Dizzle, it was delicious and easy to drink with the perfect balance of citrus and alcohol that tasted so smooth. The wings were tender and moist which was a win in my book because sometimes buffalo wings tend to be dry. The nachos were easy to share and hearty enough despite opting out of adding a protein.
